Steak and Mushroom Garlic Butter Sauce
I used this on steaks and it wasn't bad.
1 tablespoon olive oil salt and pepper 2 tablespoons butter 1 small onion, chopped 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup beef broth 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 cup horshradish 1 cup sliced mushroom 1 teaspoon parsley
1) Season the steak with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper and set aside.
2) In a medium saute pan, heat the butter on medium high and add the onions. Cook until clear.
3) Add the cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and horseradish and turn heat to low and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cream has thickened.
4) Add mushrooms and cook until soft. Add parsley and set aside.
5) Fry steaks in pan over medium-high heat.
6) Pour steak drippings into sauce and simmer for 1 minute.
7) Pour a few tablespoons of sauce over each steak.
