The Altoids are your basic cinnamon Altoids, but coated in dark chocolate. These sound like they are totally different from Tic Tacs due to the chocolate and should not be compared, but the chocolate melts so fast that you are left with the mints in about ten seconds. What is the point of that?! I wish they actually made chocolate mint mints and not just chocolate coated. The cinnamon is not quite as strong as Tic Tacs and do not burn my tongue. Once the chocolate is dissolved, the mints last about ten minutes until dissolved. The taste of the mints only last around ten minutes after they have dissolved. The Altoids tins are sort of pocket-sized, but a little too long to be fully concealed in your pocket. Still, they make nifty containers for other uses. The cost is much too expensive $2.99. You only get 36 pieces per container. The Tic Tacs are your standard hot cinnamon mints. They are quite strong and burn my tongue slightly. Each piece only lasts about five minutes or less, as they dissolve surprisingly fast. The taste of the mints only last around ten minutes after they have dissolved. The containers are really pocket-size compared to the Altoids tins. The price is much better than that of the Altoids. Tic Tacs are $0.89 for one pack, but it can often be found for $1.99-$2.99 for a six-pack. After trying both, I prefer the Tic Tacs to the Altoids. Tic Tacs are lower priced and have a stronger flavor than Altoids. to read more, go to www.associatedcontent.com/article/246886/battle_of_the_breath_mints_cinnamon.html

Hey John - great board idea! One vote for the altoids here. I chew them. They dont last but the combination is terrific. However, the chocolate covered ginger Altoids are my favorite! judith

I like cinnamon tic tacs best. I've always been a tic tac fan, really. When I was in high school, they were still 50 cents a pack and I would buy them two at a time. My friend Emily used to call me "Freshbreath" as a nickname...
Tic tacs all the way!
