With five medium potatoes, cook, drain, and grind finely.
In first pan, add three egg yolks with 3-5 tb. flour and salt. Beat three egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold into mixture. When foamy and slightly thickened, combine with potatoes.
Cook shaped 'pancakes' in second pan with light oil until finished (slightly browned)

It needs onions and garlic to be authentic German but yours will work well if you need to use with other dishes and don't want the onion and garlic to overpower the flavors. Also, we use a little baking powder to make them rise or use Bisquick.
